Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel

One of our team members will wait for you at the airport to welcome you and take you to the hotel. He will also brief you about the day program. In the evening, you will have a delicious welcome dinner organized by the company.

After having breakfast, you will begin sightseeing in Kathmandu with your tour guide. You will visit places like Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhnath Stupa, Kathmandu, Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, and Patan Durbar Square. All of these places are part of world heritage sites. In the evening, you along with your guide will prepare for the trip and arrange all the gears

Today, after having a delicious breakfast, you will drive towards the Nepal-Tibet Border along a scenic highway. Upon reaching the border, you will complete the border formalities and continue driving to Kerung.

It is a rest day in Kerung. As you have already gained elevation, it is important for your body to acclimatize before moving any further. Here, you will explore the town and also meet with your Tibetan tour guide.

Leaving Kerung behind, you will continue driving along desert terrain. During the drive, you will pass by nomad camp and sheep & yak herds. The route offers impressive views of Langtang Himal, Mt. Gaurishankar, and Mt. Shisha Pangma. Passing through Khunmen Tso, Sinling, Karru Ongchen, and Peiku Tso Lake (4400 M), you will cross Brahmaputra lake and reach Saga.

Today, the drive takes you to Mansarovar Lake, one of the holiest lakes of Hindus. Driving through the small town of Zhongba, you reach Paryang from where you get to see Mt. Kailash and the first view of the holy lake. Upon reaching the lake, you can see Chiu Monastery on the northwest shore of the lake. Likewise, you get to see stunning views of Mt. Gurula Mandata, Mt. Kailas, and Lake Rakchyas.

After having some delightful breakfast, you drive to Darchen. The drive will be short and give you enough time to relax during the day. Darchen is like the base for Mt. Kailash kora. The Kora is 53 km in total and completed in the span of three days.

Today, you take a thrilling one hours drive to Yama Dwar. From here, you walk on rocky cliffs and pass by waterfalls to reach Dira-Puk. The views will be breathtaking from this place.

It is going to be the hardest day of the journey. From Dira-Puk, the trail ascends towards Dolma La Pass. Upon reaching the top of the pass, you worship and sit down to spend some time doing meditation or soaking in the tranquility of the region. Later, you descend to Zutul-Puk, where you spend the night.

After having breakfast, you descend towards Darchen. The trail passes by small villages. From Darchen, you drive back to Saga following the same trail. The drive will offer scenic views.

After having a warm breakfast, you drive back to Kathmandu. During the drive, you get to see the countryside views. Upon reaching Kathmandu, you move to the hotel. You are free today whatever you want during the rest of the day.
