About Tamang Heritage Trek

Tamang Heritage Trek is a mesmerizing trek close to Kathmandu offering trekkers a peek into the rural lifestyle of the indigenous Tamang people. This is a short and easy trek as well as recently introduced trekking route located between the Langtang and Ganesh Himal. Despite being linked with the popular Langtang trail, only a few trekkers travel to this place. The people of this area are rich in culture and tradition, similar to the Tibetans and have remained relatively unspoiled & unchanged.

With the amazing mountain scenery, beautiful forests, monasteries, mani walls, terraced fields, chortens, and traditional Tamang villages passing through the peaceful trail, trekkers can experience and explore the unique culture, tradition, and lifestyle of the Tamang people in deep by having close interaction with the local people. Taking a bath in a natural hot spring at Tatopani (Tatopani means hot water in Nepali) and spending a night at Briddim in local people’s home will make this trek even more memorable. The Tamang Heritage Trail Trek starts and ends at Syabrubesi.
