About Annapurna Base Camp Trek

Annapurna Base Camp Trek is also known as the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek is one of the best trekking routes in the Annapurna region of Nepal. It lies on the foothill of Annapurna Range. This trekking route is moderate and suitable for trekkers of all ages. Annapurna Sanctuary Trek begins in the beautiful lowland terraced foothills of Pokhara Valley and ends at Nayapul passing through the beautiful villages of different ethnic groups mostly Gurungs with the opportunity to experience their culture and lifestyle.

This trek offers spectacular views of the majestic snow-capped mountains of the Annapurna Range like Machhapuchre (one of the sacred mountains of Nepal), Annapurna, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, and many more mountains with amazing rhododendron & bamboo forests along the way. You will have the chance to encounter many wildlife and rare wildflowers as well. The main highlight of this trek is the Annapurna Base Camp (4130 M), which provides the visitors with the majestic 360-degree view of the Annapurna range. The best time to trek is from Feb-May and Sep-Dec even though it is possible to trek in any time of the year.

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu (1350 M) and transfer to hotel

You will be welcomed by one of our team representatives at the airport. He will take you to the hotel and help you with check-in. Later in the evening, you will meet with your guide.

It is a free day for you. You will visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites like Swayambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, etc. You will get to see the rich art, architecture, and culture of Nepal during the tour. In the late evening, you will arrange equipment for the trip.

After having breakfast, we will drive to Pokhara, the lovely lake city. we will stop for lunch then continue driving towards Kande. Upon reaching Kande, we will take a small break and begin towards Australian Camp. Trekking through the forested trail, we will reach camp for the night stay.

Leaving Australian Camp behind, we will begin trekking through dense forest and small Gurung villages. On the way, we will get to see captivating views of snow-covered mountains. Most of the trail will follow the forested path and take us to Landruk, a small Gurung village located above Modi Khola Valley.

Trekking through a subtropical forest crossing several bridges, we will reach Jhinu Danda. we will take a small break here and have lunch. Before lunch will visit the natural hot spring as well where we can take a relaxing bath. Further, we will ascend and reach Chhomrong village from where we will get to see the stunning view of Annapurna South (7,219 m).

The trail descends to Chhomrong Khola. We will cross the Khola and ascend towards Sinuwa. From here, we will trek into the Modi Khola Valley through a lush forest of oak, rhododendron, and cane. Further, the trail ascends to Bamboo and takes us to Dovan.

After having breakfast, we will trek through the narrow trail and forest and reach Hinku Cave. From here, we will trek on the snow-covered path or burnout grasses and reach Deurali.

Ascending through the forest of birch and bamboo, we will pass by a moraine. The trail then descends to a stream and again ascends to Machhapuchhre Base Camp. From here, we will get to see superb views of Annapurna South. We will have lunch here, and after that, we will move towards Annapurna Base Camp.

We will explore Annapurna Base Camp and also see the beautiful sunrise. Similarly, we will get to see panoramic views of mountains and huge glaciers. After spending some time at ABC, we will descend to Bamboo via Machhapuchhre Base Camp, Deurali, and Dobhan.

From Bamboo, we will ascend to Kuldighar and Sinuwa. The trail then descends to Chhomrong Khola. and we will cross a bridge over the Chhomrong River and ascend to reach Chhomrong village.

After having breakfast, we will walk flatland and then descend Kimrong village. after crossing a bridge we will ascent Kimrong Dada, where we will have lunch,  Further, trekking through oak and rhododendron forest. then the trails descend and take us to a big Gurung village, Ghandruk from where beautiful views of Annapurna South (7,219m) and Machhapuchhre (6,993m) can be seen.

Walking down a stone staircase, we will reach Syaulibazar. From here, we will trek along Modi Khola and reach Birethanti. Crossing an iron bridge over the Modi Khola river, we will walk for around 30 minutes and reach Nayapul. Further, we will drive to Pokhara.  after arriving we explore around Fewa Lake.

After having breakfast, we will drive to Kathmandu. We also have the option to fly additional cost. Either way, we will present us with a scenic view. Upon reaching Kathmandu, we will spend the rest of the day relaxing. In the evening, you will have a farewell dinner organized by the company.
